Use this guide when Cobi does not answer, linking fails, or an artifact does not appear.

Cobi does not respond in a channel

Check these first:
  • Cobi was invited to the channel.
  • Your message mentioned Cobi, used /cobi, or was inside a Cobi-owned thread.
  • The Slack workspace is connected in Cobi settings.
  • You are not using Slack as an external guest.
If Cobi still does not respond, ask a Cobi admin to reconnect Slack from Settings > Integrations.

Cobi is silent in normal channel chatter

That is expected. Cobi only responds when:
  • You mention Cobi.
  • You DM Cobi.
  • You run /cobi.
  • You reply in a thread where Cobi already answered.
This keeps the bot from interrupting unrelated conversations. Slack must be connected from Cobi before account linking works. Ask a Cobi admin to go to Settings > Integrations > Slack and connect the workspace.

/cobi status says your account is unlinked

Run:
/cobi link
Then click Link account and finish the flow in Cobi. Run /cobi status again after linking. Account links are short-lived. Run /cobi link again to get a fresh link.

Cobi answered but the chart or table is missing

Cobi keeps the answer visible even if an artifact cannot be attached. Try:
  • Asking for a narrower date range.
  • Asking for fewer rows.
  • Asking for a chart or table explicitly.
  • Opening the answer in Cobi if the button is available.
If the issue continues, contact [email protected] with the channel, approximate time, and question text.

Cobi asks what records you mean

Reply inside the same Cobi thread where the table or chart appeared. Cobi uses thread context only inside Cobi-owned threads.

Cobi says it cannot access the workspace

The workspace may not be connected to the Cobi organization, or it may already be connected to a different Cobi organization. Ask a Cobi admin to check the Slack card in Settings > Integrations.

Still stuck

Contact [email protected]. Include:
  • The Slack workspace name.
  • The channel or DM where the issue happened.
  • The command or message you sent.
  • The approximate time.
